In April of 2002, Zenzele opened a retail shop on one of the main tourist routes in the coastal town of Hout Bay, along the Atlantic Seaboard of the peninsular. The aim of the Shop is to provide entrepreneurs, community projects and other non-profit organisations with the opportunity to expose their products to the market and to increase their sales. The shop is run on a non-profit basis and has afforded many small projects an opportunity not usually attainable. The Shop is also intended to create awareness and bridge the gap between community craft workers and the commercial and tourism world.
